This Privacy Policy explains how Eduvors (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and otherwise processes your personal data when you access or use the Platform. The Platform is designed to enable students to create and maintain professional profiles and to connect with companies for internships, employment opportunities, and related engagements. In order to provide these services effectively, it is necessary for us to collect and process certain personal information that you provide or that is generated through your use of the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of your personal data in the manner described herein.

This Privacy Policy has been prepared in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We collect and process personal information that you voluntarily provide to us while creating and maintaining your profile on the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • a) Basic identification and contact details, such as your full name, email address, phone number, and any other contact information you choose to provide;
  • b) Educational and academic information, including details of your school, college, university, course of study, year of graduation, academic performance, marks, transcripts, and any supporting documents such as marks cards or certificates;
  • c) Professional and profile-related information, such as your curriculum vitae, resumes, projects, internships, work experience (if any), certifications, achievements, extracurricular activities, and any other credentials that you upload to enhance your profile;
  • d) User-generated content and additional disclosures, being any other information, documents, or materials that you choose to upload, share, or otherwise make available on the Platform, whether as part of your profile or through interactions on the Platform.

2.1.1 You acknowledge that all such information is provided by you voluntarily and is intended to be made visible to companies and institutions for the purpose of evaluation, outreach, and potential recruitment opportunities. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the information provided by you is accurate, complete, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

2.2 Institutional and Company User Information

Where schools, colleges, universities, recruiters, employers, or companies are granted access to the Platform, we may collect and process details including organisational name, registered address, authorised representative details, designation, official email addresses, contact information, verification records, and access logs. Such information is processed solely for account administration, access management, authentication, and operational compliance.

2.3 Payment-related information

We collect and process certain limited payment-related information in connection with your use of paid features on the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • a) Transaction details, such as payment status, transaction IDs, order references, timestamps, and details of the services purchased;
  • b) Billing information, including limited details such as your name, billing address (if applicable), and contact information required for invoicing, receipts, and compliance purposes;
  • c) Payment facilitation data, being such information as may be necessary to enable and confirm successful processing of payments through our authorised third-party payment service providers.

2.3.1 All payments on the Platform are processed through secure, third-party payment gateways. We do not store your complete card details, CVV, or sensitive financial information. Any storage of payment-related information is limited to what is necessary for transaction processing, record-keeping, and compliance with applicable laws.

2.3.2 Where applicable and based on your explicit consent, limited payment information may be retained to facilitate smoother future transactions (including one-time or automated payment features).

2.4 Automatically collected data

When you access or use the Platform, certain information is automatically collected through technical means to ensure the proper functioning, security, and improvement of the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

3. WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

  • e) To ensure the security and integrity of the Platform, including detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, misuse, unauthorised access, or other harmful activities;
  • f) To comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including record-keeping, dispute resolution, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

3.2 We do not collect or process your personal data for purposes that are unrelated to the services provided by the Platform, nor do we engage in any form of undisclosed or deceptive data usage.

4. YOUR CONSENT

4.1 By creating an account and using the Platform, you expressly provide your free, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent to the following:

  • a) Collection and processing of your personal data, including the information and documents you choose to upload on the Platform;
  • b) Display and visibility of your profile to registered companies and institutions, for the purpose of evaluation and outreach;
  • c) Sharing and transfer of your data to such companies, including allowing them to view, access, and download your information for recruitment and related purposes.

4.2 You acknowledge that this consent is necessary for the core functioning of the Platform and that, without such consent, the Platform may not be able to provide its services to you.

4.3 You retain the right to withdraw your consent at any time by: (i) deleting your account through the Platform; or (ii) submitting a request to us using the contact details provided in Section 10.

4.4 Upon withdrawal of consent, your data will be deleted from our active systems in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, you understand and accept that any data already accessed or downloaded by companies prior to such withdrawal may continue to remain with them, and the Platform shall not be responsible for such third-party retention or use.

5. SHARING OF DATA

5.1 The Platform is designed to enable visibility of student profiles to companies and institutions. Accordingly, your profile and the information you upload are intended to be accessed by such entities. This means that registered companies may: (a) view your profile and associated information; and (b) download, store, and review your data and documents for recruitment and evaluation purposes.

5.2 You expressly acknowledge and agree that once your data is accessed or downloaded by a company: (a) such data is no longer under the control of the Platform; (b) the Platform does not have visibility into or control over how such data is stored, processed, or used by the company; and (c) the Platform cannot ensure or enforce deletion of such data from the company’s systems.

Accordingly, the Platform shall not be responsible or liable for any use, retention, or processing of your data by such companies, provided that access was enabled in accordance with these Terms and your consent.

5.3 We do not sell, rent, or commercially trade your personal data with third parties for unrelated purposes. Your data is shared only in the manner described in these Terms and for purposes connected with the functioning of the Platform.

5.4 We may disclose your personal data without further consent where such disclosure is necessary: (a) to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; (b) to respond to requests from government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or regulatory bodies; or (c) to protect and enforce our legal rights, prevent fraud or misuse, or ensure the safety and integrity of the Platform and its users.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

6.1 We retain your personal data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services through the Platform. In general, this means your data will be retained: (a) for the duration that your account remains active; or (b) until you request deletion of your data in accordance with this Policy.

6.2 You may request deletion of your data at any time by deleting your account or by contacting us through the details provided in this Policy. Upon such request, we will take reasonable steps to delete your personal data from our active systems within a commercially reasonable timeframe.

6.3 Following deletion: (a) your data will no longer be accessible on the Platform; (b) your data will be removed from active databases and user-facing systems;

6.4 However, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) residual copies of your data may continue to exist in secure backup systems for a limited period, after which they will be permanently deleted in the ordinary course of system operations; (b) certain information may be retained where required to comply with applicable laws, regulatory obligations, or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

6.5 Further, you understand that deletion of your data from the Platform does not affect any data that may have already been accessed or downloaded by companies prior to such deletion, and the Platform shall not be responsible for the retention or use of such data by third parties.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

7.1 In accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are entitled to exercise certain rights in relation to your personal data. These include:

  • a) Right to access information – you may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and obtain access to such data in a reasonable manner;
  • b) Right to correction and updating – you may request correction, completion, or updating of any personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated;
  • c) Right to erasure – you may request deletion of your personal data, subject to our obligations to retain certain information under applicable law or for legitimate business purposes;

9. CHILDREN

9.1 The Platform is intended for use only by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or process personal data from individuals below the age of 18.

9.2 By using the Platform, you represent and confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law.

9.3 If we become aware that personal data has been collected from an individual below 18 years of age without appropriate authorisation, we reserve the right to take immediate steps to delete such data and suspend or terminate the associated account.

9.4 If you believe that a minor has provided personal data on the Platform, you may contact us using the details provided in this Policy, and we will take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.

10. SECURITY

No decision producing legal effects or similarly significant consequences for any user shall be made solely on the basis of automated processing without appropriate human oversight, except where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
